Prepare mushrooms by cutting them in half
lengthwise and set aside.
Heat half of the oil in a wok, add Chinese
leaves and stir-fry for approx. 1 - 2 minutes, then add half the salt and half the sugar.
Continue for another 1 minute and transfer the leaves to a warm serving dish.
Add the remaining oil to the wok. When hot, add
the mushrooms and stir-fry for 1 minute.
Add the remaining salt, and sugar and continue
for another 1 minute, then add the water.
When the mushrooms starts to boil, thicken the
dish with the corn flour paste and milk.
Transfer to the warm serving dish and place the
mushrooms beside the Chinese leaves.
