'Satay'
is the Malaysian / Indonesian version of barbeque meat on little bamboo skewers.
The meat, usually consist of chicken, beef or mutton, is deeply marinated in a
special spice paste and grilled over charcoal fire. Usually served with cubed
rice cakes and garnished with slices of fresh cucumber.
Ingredients
200 ml
Coconut cream (thick coconut milk)
4 tbsp
Peanut butter
1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce
-
A few drops of Tabasco sauce
Method :
Pour the coconut cream into a saucepan and heat
it gently over a low heat for approx. 2 minutes.
Add the peanut butter and stir vigorously until
the mixture is thoroughly blended. Continue to heat but do not allow to boil.
Add the Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce
to taste and transfer to a serving bowl.
