Hoisin Dipping Sauce Recipe

Prepared
in minutes, this dipping sauce needs no cooking and is great with spring rolls
and prawn crackers.

Ingredients |
| 4 stalks |
Spring onions (cilantro) |
| 4 cm |
Fresh root ginger |
| 2 pieces |
Fresh red chilies |
| 2 cloves |
Garlic |
| 4 tbsp |
Hoisin sauce |
| 120 ml |
Passata |
| 1 tsp |
Sesame oil |
Method :
-
Cut and discard the green ends of the spring
onions. Slice the white parts very thinly.

Peel and chop the ginger and garlic finely.

Half the chili lengthwise and remove the seeds
(or leave some for add heat), then slice finely.

Stir together the hoisin sauce, passata, garlic,
spring onions, ginger, chiliess and sesame oil.
-
Serve within the hour.
An excellent companion for
mini springs rolls
and prawn crackers.
