Fragrant Soy Sauce Pork Recipe
(Thit Bho To)

Pork dishes are common in Vietnam, but this dish is quite
unique, yet so easy to prepare.
Ingredients |
| 550 g |
Pork belly, with skin |
| 3 cloves |
Garlic, roughly chopped |
| 6 stalks |
Spring onions, roughly chopped |
| 2 1/2 cm |
Fresh root ginger, shredded |
| 4 tbsp |
Light soy sauce |
| 2 tsp |
White pepper |
Method :

Cut pork into large pieces (approx. twice
bite-size).

Put pork into a deep pot and add garlic, onion
and ginger and cover with water.

Bring the pork to boil, then lower heat and
allow to simmer for 2 - 2/12 hours. Add water if necessary.

(The pork, should now be very tender, and the
skin reduced to a jelly-like consistency)

Lift the pork pieces out and cut into thin
strips, and arrange in a serving platter.

Sprinkle with soy sauce and white pepper and
serve.
