Watercress and Sparerib Soup Recipe

Ingredients :

Watercress

Pork ribs, chopped into 4cmj pieces

Water

Salt

Light soya sauce

Pinch of pepper

 

Method :
  • Wash the watercress and cut off roots.

  • Break off older stems and tie them together into a bunch with a piece of string
  • Put spareribs and water into medium sized pot and bring to boil
  • Add tied-up watercress stems to pot and simmer, covered, over low heat for 30 minutes. Removed and discard the stems and skim off excess oil from the surface
  • Now put in watercress, add salt, and simmer for another 10 minutes, covered. Wait till watercress and meat are tender.
  • Add pepper and serve with a small dish of light soya sauce as a dip for the spareribs
