Grilled Beef Ribs With Black Pepper Recipe - Galbi Gui

The beef can be substitute with pork while some like to substitute about 250 ml of the beef stock with juice drained from the kim chi jar.

Ingredients :

1 kg

 

 

Marinade:

60 ml

40 g

2 tablespoons

2 tablespoons

2 tablespoons

1/2 teaspoon

1 - 2 stalks

150 ml

 

Beef short ribs, cut into 4 cm lengths

 

 

 

Light soy sauce

Soft brown sugar

Sesame oil

Garlic, finely chopped

Rice wine

Black pepper, freshly ground

Scallions (spring onions) , finely chopped

Beef stock

 

 

 

Method :

 

  • Mix all marinade ingredient in a bowl and combine well

  • Put beef ribs in a bowl. Pour the combined ingredients over over the beef ribs and massage with hands for about 1 minute. Cover and leave to marinate for at least 4 hours.

  • Heat grill or broiler and cook the ribs, turning to brown on both sides.

  • Skewers may be used as an alternative.

  • Serve on a plate.
