Spice Stuffed Okra Recipe

Ingredients |
| 500 g |
Okra ( Ladies' Fingers), washed and dried |
| 1 piece |
Onion, medium sized, chopped |
| 2 pieces |
Green Chilies, deseeded and chopped |
| 2 cm |
Ginger, finely chopped |
| 1 piece |
Tomato, chopped |
| 3 tbsp |
Cooking oil |
| 1 tsp |
Cumin seeds |
| - |
Pinch of
asafoetida powder |

| 3 tsp |
Coriander powder |
| 2 tsp |
Turmeric powder |
| 2 tsp |
Fennel powder |
| 2 tsp |
Dried mango powder |
| 1 tsp |
Chili powder |
| 1/2 tsp |
Salt |
Method :
-
Cut off the stalk of each okra and make a
lengthwise slit.

Combine stuffing ingredients, mixing well, then
stuff each okra with the mixture.

Heat oil and saute cumin seeds until it starts
to crackle.

Add onion, chillies and ginger and saute until
onions turns transparent.

Add in the pinch of asafoetida and quickly
follow by the tomato and cook until it turns pulpy.

Add in okra, cook for approx. 5 minutes or until
tender and well coated with the sauce.
