Deep-Fried Syrup Coated Apples Recipe - Dessert

Ingredients :

Large green apples, peeled, cored and cut into 8

| The Batter |

| 125 g |
All purpose flour |
| 2 tbsp |
Cornstarch |
| 1 ttsp |
Baking soda |

Small sized egg |

Water |
| The Syrup |
|
| 1/2 cup |
Sugar |
| 2 tbsp |
Water |

Method :

Prepare batter by
combining all the ingredients plus water to achieve the consistency of a thick cream.

Prepare syrup by
heating sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until it turns golden brown, keep warm.

Ready a bowl of iced
water and a greased serving dish.

Heat oil until very
hot, dip slices of apples into the batter, a few at a time, and lower into the oil and fry
until golden brown.

Remove from oil,
drain and dip into the syrup, coating evenly.

Immediately plunge
the coated apple slices into the iced water to set the syrup into a toffee-like coating.

Place on a serving
dish and serve straightly away.
