Burmese Pumpkin Soup Recipe      

RECIPES OF BURMA

Ingredients :

600g

2 - 3 cloves

1 liter

1/2 cup

1 - 2 tablespoon

 

Pumpkin, peeled seeded and cubed

Garlic, coarsely chopped

Chicken stock

Thai basil, (horapa leaves)

Cooking oil

Salt and pepper to taste

 

Method :
  • Heat oil in pan or wok and saute garlic till fragrant

  • Add chicken stock and pumpkin and bring a boil, then cover and simmer for another 20 minutes or until pumpkin is soft.

  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Garnish with freshly chopped basil leaves just before serving.
