Chicken Teriyaki Recipe

A simple bowl of rice is the idea companion to this subtle Japanese chicken dish

 

Ingredients

450 g Boneless chicken breast, skinned
  Garnish: orange peel, mustard and cress

 

The Marinade

 
2 tbsp Dark soy sauce
1 tbsp Rice wine
1 tbsp Sake
1 tsp Sugar
  Grated rind of 1 orange

 

Method :

  • Prepare chicken by slicing it into long thin strips using cleaver or a sharp knife.

  • Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl and add in the chicken strips, mix well and set aside for approx. 15 minutes to marinate.

  • Heat wok and add the chicken and marinade and stir-fry for 4 - 5 minutes.

  • Serve with orange peel, mustard and cress.
