This
stir-fry recipes is ideal for people trying to loose weight, those requiring a
low-fat and low-cholesterol diet and anyone who wants to eat healthily
Ingredients
450 g
Sirloin or fillet steak, cut into thin strips
1
Orange, juice only and finely grated
rind
2 1/2 cm
Fresh root ginger, finely chopped
1 piece
Large carrot, cut into matchstick strips
2 stalks
Spring onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp
Light soy sauce
2 tsp
Sesame oil
1 tsp
Cornflour
-
Rice noodles or boiled rice to accompany.
Method :
Marinate the beef strips in a bowl with the
orange juice and orange rind by mix the both evenly and set aside for approx. 30 minutes.
Drain the liquid from the steak and reserve. Add
together the soy sauce, cornflour and ginger and mix well.
Heat oil in a wok or pan, add in the steak and
stir-fry for 1 minute or until lightly brown.
Add the carrots and stir-fry for a further 2
minutes.
Stir in the spring onions and reserved marinade
liquid. Continue to cook-stir until boiling and the liquid thickened.
Serve the dish with either rice noodles or plain
boiled rice to accompany.
