RICE WITH BEEF STRIPS RECIPE

 

FUN & HEALTHY CHILDREN RECIPES IN MINUTES

Fast food for children

 

Ingredients :
400g Rump steak, finely sliced
200g White rice, long grain type
100g Mushrooms, chopped
375ml Chicken stock
1 piece Onion, chopped
1 clove Garlic, crushed
1 piece Tomato, diced
2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp Cooking

 

Method :
  • Heat oil in a wok and add in the garlic, onions and mushrooms and stir-fry for approx. 2 minutes or until the onion has softened.
  • Add in the rice, then pour in the chicken stock and stir through to combine. Bring it to a boil, then reduced heat to 'low' and simmer, covered, for approx. 10 minutes. Remove the wok from the heat with the cover and allow to stand for approx. 5 minutes.
  • In another wok or pan, cook the slices of rump steak on both sides thoroughly, then cut into thin strips. Cover and set aside.
  • Add the tomato and parsley to the rice and stir the beef strips through, adjust seasoning and serve.
