Popular
oriental dessert of mix fruits in tangy lime and lychee syrup, topped by a
sprinkling of fragrant toasted sesame seeds.

Ingredients |

Ripe mango, peeled, stoned and sliced |

Red apple, cored and sliced |
| 1 |
Star fruit, sliced across |
| 2 |
Just-ripe banana, chopped in medium-sized chunks |
| 400 g |
Lychees in syrup (sold in cans) |
| 120 g |
Fine castor sugar |
| 300 ml |
Water |
| 1 tsp |
Sesame seeds, toasted |
| - |
Juice of one lime |
Method :

Prepare syrup by placing sugar, water and lime
juice in a saucepan and heating gently until sugar dissolves.

Increase the heat to medium, then continue to
boil for another 6 - 8 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Drain lychees but reserve the juice. Add the
lychee juice to the cooled lime syrup.

Place all the cut fruits in a salad bowl and
pour over the lime and lychee syrup.

Chill for approx. 1 hour. Before serving,
sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds.
